Islam came to liberate Man from worship and service of Man – to the worship and service of Allah swt alone!
“Zakah is for the poor and the needy, and those employed to administer the (funds); to those whose hearts have been (recently) reconciled (to the truth); for those in bondage and in debt; in the cause of Allah; and for the wayfarer: (thus it is) ordained by Allah; and Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom” (At-Tawbah, 9:60)
“If you disclose (act of) charity; even so it is well, But if you conceal them, And make them reach Those (really) in need, That is best for you; It will remove from you Some of your (stains of) evil. And Allah is well-acquainted with what you do.” (Al-Baqarah, 2:271)
“(Charity is) for those in need, who, in Allah’s cause, are restricted (from travel), and cannot move about in the land, seeking (for trade or work): the ignorant man thinks, because of their modesty, that they are free from want. You shall know them by their (unfailing) mark: They beg not importunately from all and sundry, and whatever of good you give be assured Allah knoweth it well.” (Al-Baqarah, 2:273)
“Those who (in charity) spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” (Al-Baqarah, 2:274)
Our Goals at (MAI-DC):
Reshape the American self-image from Invaders of Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen to liberators of the human spirit.
Lift the veil of ignorance from the western eyes and help the American people live up to the expectations of itself.
When you see us at your EID prayer with boxes, know that we are not beggars, we are Mujahideen.
